Slice Toaster Page # 2

3. Do you want or need a "cool touch" slice toaster?

Do you have small children or are you prone to touching the outside of the toaster? If so especially with small children who can easily get burned, you may want to look into the newer cool touch slice toasters. They have an outer layer usually made of plastic that is specifically engineered to remain cool to the touch even when you have just put 3 or 4 full loads of bread and bagels through your slice toaster.

4. Do you really need one of the new slice toasters that also baste an egg for you at the same time?

This is one of those kind of strange questions that you have to get out of the way. When you see one for the first time they look kind of cool, and you say, yeah, I could see myself using that. But in reality will you ever really use it.
I was at a friend's house and he had one. I asked him if he liked this kind of cool looking feature on his slice toaster and he said it was a pain in the rear end to try and clean.

5. Do you want a oven style slice toaster?

These can be really super handy when you want to broil something small. Let's say you're making a open faced tuna sandwich and you want to melt some cheese on the top over the tuna. Then for purposes like that they work great. The problem is you usually still want to toast the bread first before you do your open faced sandwich or it will end up pretty soggy.

These oven style slice toasters use a lot more power and usually have a higher initial price tag. They do however work incredibly well for toasting or broiling very small items where you don't want to fir up your big oven. so, in that way they do save some money in energy costs by taking the place of your main oven.

There are 2 more tips on page 3 that you won't want to miss. Plus you will find out about a fantastic new coffee alternative that is in my opinion the best there is period.
